Wood, felt, clay, metal and old objects are transformed by skilled hands. The Gallery Kivipankki offer varying and interesting art exhibitions throughout the year. Jämsä’s artistic riches invite you in to enjoy a cultural tour among stirring art treasures.Also in the neighbourhood there is the famous Gösta Serlachius Art Museum at Mänttä-Vilppula, where you can admire artistic works by Eliel Saarinen and Akseli Gallen-Kallela, among others.
Gallery Kivipankki
Galleria Kivipankki is a historic building located in the center of Jämsä, serving as an art gallery and cultural venue. Its operations are managed by the Kivipankki Association.
Gallery Vasta
Gallery Vasta is a workspace for two visual artists located in the center of Jämsä, where various visual art courses, events, and art exhibitions are organized.
Pikku Galleria
The charming Little Gallery of artist Piippa Mutikainen is located in the harbor of Jämsä town center. The summer exhibition will run from July 3rd to August 8th, 2024. Address: Mottilantie 2, Jämsä.
Särkilahti BLÅ
Särkilahti BLÅ is an art center located in northern Kuorevesi, opened in the summer of 2023, where courses and art days are organized. The center is situated in the main building of the former rectory, built in 1872. BLÅ always hosts at least one exhibition and offers opportunities for small purchases and coffee. Open from June 15 to August 31 2024, Wednesday – Sunday 1pm- 9pm. Address: Vessarintie 309, 35600 Halli.
Pässinmäki
A permanent exhibition of the foundation’s collections can be seen in Pässinmäki, which is owned by the Kauko Sorjonen Foundation. The address: Tiilikantie 5, 42300 Jämsänkoski.
